11th Annual NYA Picnic
August 1std, 2nd & 3rd, 2008
George and Cathy Seltzer would like to extend the invitation again this year
to you and your families and significant others for the 11th Annual NYA Summer
Picnic to be held at their home in Whitney Point, NY. This event has proven to
be fun and inspiration for all attending.
Schedule For The Weekend
Friday: Arrival @ 6, Pizza and beverages, Bonfire at 8 PM.
Saturday: Arrival at noon, lunch promptly at 1 (bring a dish to pass or
contact Tolpaint23@stny.rr.com for other picnic items)
4 PM: "Awards" by Sylvia and door prizes to follow
6-7 PM: Impromptu meal of Spaghetti & Meatballs, Salad and Italian
Bread
7 PM: Bonfire with Candle Light Ceremony with participation of various
list members. (plan not to miss this)
These are just the highlights of the weekend. Bring your suits and towels as the
pool will be open at times throughout the weekend. Other activities will be held

Due to the very successful Chinese Auction put on by Johnny's birthfamily
last year I was able to give Cathy enough money to cover the tables, chairs,
port-a-potty and sink. We decided that the auction and raffles were so
successful we should hold another one this year.
Our picnic fee last year was $25.00 per member which includes your family or any
guest you wish to bring (not per person). Since we have a head start on the
monies needed for the picnic this year the fee will be $20.00 UNLESS you bring a
donation for the auction. If you bring a donation the fee will be $15.00.
Cathy still has to pay for the pizzas, hot dogs, hamburgers, salads plus what is
needed for our evening meal Saturday. We've been having spaghetti with
meatballs, salad Italian bread etc. She also must purchase the candles we use
for the Candlelight Service Saturday evening and other incidentals that we might
not think of. With everyone bringing a dish to pass we have all kinds of yummy
dishes.
Please send your picnic fee of 20.00 or 15.00 ASAP to: (Checks or money orders

Cathy will send out a reminder note the day before she cashs your check
so you can adjust your check books.
Camping will be available for those out of town people again this year.
Let her know early to reserve your spot.
A list of Motels will be sent out periodically for those who are
traveling from a long distance (or just want to share in the "after the
picnic parties) Most of us stay at the Motel 6 on Front St.
A list of directions to Cathy's will also be sent out and signs are
usually placed along the route so that you can find us.
We always need:
Ice
Soda
Condiments such as ketchup, mustard, relish, pickles, olives
Chips
Cakes
Cookies
Watermelon
Grated Cheese
Butter
If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to
ask. It might be better to ask me since Cathy works full time now and doesn't
get to her email as often as she would like. That is one burden I can remove

Last year we had an outstanding group for the picnic and I really hope that we
can have one that is equal or better this year. I promise, you won't be
disappointed that you came.
